the lonely become either thoughtful or empty/mason cooley

31st street Chair

Though the surrounding buildings have seen far better days, the vibrant red chair seemed out of place. Almost sad. The vibrant hue of the upholstery suggests it’s owner was fun and lively, but now the chair is unwanted. An eyesore drawing attention to a building many wish would just collapse.

  1. Because you were there you could feel the mood, but as someone looking at the picture I felt differently about the chair. To me when I first saw it, and still, it looks not sad but sort of steadfast, and solid, and resilient. Maybe a bit cocky? :) Aware that it outshines its surroundings. And yes, I do realize I’m talking about a chair.
It’s a beautiful shot. The colours and the lines from the corrugated metal on the building behind are so interesting.
    Nice!
